Report by Chief RC 7 (Tammy Johnson)
Tammy thanked everyone who responded to the traumatic calls that ended 2006 and
started 2007. It was a very stressful time and the calls were traumatic, but everyone
worked very well together.
Projects: Bylaws and SOPs. Encouraged members to take a look at them, and if
interested, please make corrections/ideas on copy and to give them to one of the
executive members to present to committee.
Larry and Tammy will be going to North Carolina on February 18
th
and 19
th
. New 707 is
on production line and will be going to look at it. Also, old 707 will be donated to a very
needy organization in NC (as is). New 707 will look something like Charlottesville’s 147
truck.
Tammy challenged everyone to please stop the talk about others, and the nitpicking, this
is not high school, and to please come together. If there is an issue or concern, to please
go to your Duty Officer or Crew Chief. If there is a complaint, write it down and also write
a solution to the issue at hand.
Exhaust system at MJH: Don’t turn off units, but keep in mind. Get in and then get out of
the ER.
Digital Camera in truck. Tammy encourages everyone to use the digital camera to take
pictures of crews, trucks and scenes. Would like to purchase another one. Use pictures
for slideshow and website.
Albemarle Fire Rescue seals update: Tammy ordered new Town of Scottsville seals for
trucks to represent our Squad.
Radio traffic on 800 radios: Reminder to keep it short and simple. If you are calling for
something off the road, use the cell phone.
If responding to other counties, please remember to mark up. List is in trucks.
Trash: please remember that the dumpster is not for personal trash, only Squad trash.
RC 7-1 Report (James Napier): no report
RC 7-2 Report (Larry Antonacci): no report (See RC 7 report)
RC 7-3 Report (Joe Jordan):
Line up sheet: please remember to fill out and fax as soon as you are in the building so
fire doesn’t get toned out
RC 7-4 Report (Gene Johnson):
Time sheets: please remember to fill out on every shift. Albemarle County looks at the
hours, you could lose your county tag and personal tax privileges they give us.
Units out of service: please let Gene know or line officers, so the unit can get fixed right
away
706: the switch for the on/off heater is set. Any issues let Gene know.
Board of Directors Report (Kevin Quick, Phyllis Johnson, Don Linden):
Kevin stated that the executive board had a wonderful meeting and he is very pleased

- Call sheet review and QA: Valerie is taking the responsibility of call sheet review and QA
with the assistance of Mac and Karen. Please make sure all is filled out, even
male/female, date of birth, complaints. Non-transport and MVA call sheets could
potentially be a big legal concern, so please remember to fill out ALL information, as if
you are having to appear at court. Valerie will be meeting with all crews and going over
their call sheets. Reminder TJEMS also looks at the call sheets. Kevin suggested that at
the general meetings also going over call sheets as a group. Tammy stated that when
Car 111 responds to a call, that we are to do a call sheet and fill our everyone on call
sheet you did and then document that Car 111 took over care. Continue care and
document your own information, and Car 111 will fill out his own call sheet. Do not ask

Kim Morris: New kind of epi-pens are being used. Kim ran a call where a patient had a
different type of epi-pen than what we usually see. Informing everyone of this.
James MacDonald: Mac took his five minutes of time that was asked at the beginning
of the meeting. Mac asked everyone to take a moment and think of what makes you
most product of Scottsville Rescue. Mac read to the membership a sermon
(Unconditional Friendship) that he wrote and read to his student in chapel at St. Anne’s
Belfield. This acknowledged his friendships here at the squad and members on the
Thursday night crew. It was beautiful. A copy of this will be attached to the general
membership minutes by Karen for your viewing in the crew room.
Motion for adjournment: Mr. Jackie Moore made the motion for adjournment at 20:54
