Minutes of the general meeting of 03/06/07
Meeting called to order: President James MacDonald called the meeting to order at 20:18
hours, at which time the Secretary circulated a sign-in sheet for membership roll.
President’s Report (J. MacDonald):

Thanks to everyone for attending Jackie’s “family night" and funeral.
•
Formal retirement of 746 at a ceremony at a later date
•
Pins for Squad members thanks to Kim and Willie
•
Jackie’s death notice to VAVRS newsletter
•
An article being submitted to Scottsville Monthly on Jackie entitled “A Life of Service."
•
Frances has been nominated to serve the remainder of Jackie’s term on the BOD – the
nomination must be posted for one month as the recommendation of the nominating
committee. I have not asked Frances if she is wiling, but would like the approval of the
membership and the vote at the April General Membership Meeting before approaching
her.

Congratulations to Josh Wright for passing his EMT
•
Article being submitted to Scottsville Monthly on the donation of old 707 to the Squad in
NC (defer to Larry Antonacci)
•
Flyers to be posted re: recruitment
•
Recruitment brochure underway thanks to ACFR, need pictures.

Daily Progress will list us as a volunteer agency monthly.
•
Will attempt to get TV spot, similar to Stony Point’s
•
Controlled burn standby for SVRS training this Saturday, the 17
th

Bike Race Standby on Sunday, March 25
th
